C. Studios in Kato Zakros
Just 30 meters away from “STELLA’S TRADITIONAL APARTMENTS” but in the same yard, hidden in the shadow of bucamville and jasmine can be found our totally reconstructed New Studios.
A group of five studios with a large outdoor kitchen .They are decorated in two different styles. One built of stone in traditional Greek style with a lot of elements from Cretan culture and the other in retro style on which the prevailing material is hammered iron, with curtains hanging from the ceiling creating a romantic atmosphere. All studios are equipped with a kitchenette with all the necessary items to prepare your breakfast (coffee machine ,toaster ,boiler, little gas stove and an electric hot ring, pots, pans and plates as well as sugar, Greek coffee, Nescafe, filter coffee etc.)
The water from the tap comes from the natural source in Zakros and it has excellent quality. Of course there are the essentials, refrigerator, shower, w.c and a/c.
All studios benefit from their own veranda, pergola and swinging chair, with views in to the evergreen multicolored garden. In the garden you will find hammocks, sun beds and pergolas to enjoy the sun, tranquility and deep shadow beneath the trees.
In the back yard, according the season, you will find organic fruits i.e. oranges, loquats, grapes, figs and also almonds and nuts which you can collect yourself.
If you do not want to make use of the local taverns then the outdoor kitchen will provide you hot plates, grill, fridge, together with our own olive oil, home grown onions, potatoes and garlic all of which are available for our guests.
You will also find in the refrigerator and in the cupboards: spaghetti, rice, tomato sauce and home grown potatoes, all which are provided to you our guests on the basis “take everything, pay anything”
Should you require something particular-meat , fresh fish or local wine you will find your hosts Elias and Stella only too willing to help in the shopping ,who following the tradition in Cretan hospitality will make you feel guests rather than clients.
